Create store screenshots and listing assets

Use actual app screens in RNBlocks’ screenshot editor, prepare device-specific exports and write an accurate store listing.

Show the app people will actually receive. Start with clean native captures of working screens, then use the screenshot editor for layout, headings and export sizes.

Choose useful captures

Ask the publishing agent: Help me create store screenshots showing this app’s main journey. Use native preview captures when available, or capture the running app on a device or simulator and use Add screenshot.

Show distinct outcomes: the main screen, the core action and its result. Replace personal information with sample content before capture. A web screenshot is not a substitute for an iPhone or Android interface that behaves differently.

  • Capture at the device’s native resolution; avoid enlarging a compressed video frame.

  • Wait for fonts and images to finish loading.

  • Keep useful content inside the safe area and check the keyboard state.

  • Inspect the original at full size for blur, clipped text and unwanted borders.

Build the screenshot set

  1. Open Screenshots

In Publish, open Screenshots. Use Add screenshot for a PNG or JPEG capture, or select captures prepared by the agent.

  2. Compare Original and Design

Original shows the source capture. Design shows the composed store image. Select the screen image to adjust its position and fit; avoid cropping important controls.

  3. Edit the message and appearance

Select the headline, caption, background or another element on the canvas. Keep each image focused on one actual benefit. Use Undo if a change does not work.

  4. Choose the output

Open Output and set Device / output and Size preset. Check Width and Height in pixels. Use another screenshot size when preparing an additional device or store.

  5. Review and export

Choose Save design, then Review set to check sequence and consistency. Download assets exports the saved design. Inspect the downloaded files before uploading them to a store.

Work on your store screenshots

  2. Edit its headline and design, keeping the app screen accurate.
  3. Check the output format, then use Review set before downloading.

Check the store’s current requirements

Check the requirements for every device family you support, including tablets. A custom canvas is not automatically a valid store size. Store recommendations for featuring may be stricter than the minimum upload requirements.

StoreStarting requirements

Apple

1–10 JPEG or PNG screenshots per supported set, without transparency. Use an accepted device size; 1320 × 2868 is one accepted portrait size for the 6.9-inch iPhone set.

Google Play

At least two screenshots for the listing. JPEG or 24-bit PNG without alpha; dimensions from 320 to 3840 pixels, with the longer side no more than twice the shorter side.

Write the listing alongside the screenshots

Open Store details for App name, iOS subtitle, Android short description, Description and Release notes. Choose Save draft to keep the copy in RNBlocks.

Lead with what the app helps someone do. Describe features present in the tested build, and use release notes for changes in this version. Saving a local draft does not send it to either store.

Prepare the app icon and any other graphics requested by the store separately. A screenshot with a phone frame is not an app icon.

Before you upload

  • The screens match the version being submitted.

  • Text stays readable at the store’s displayed size.

  • All supported devices and languages have the required assets.

  • No personal information, credentials, developer addresses or debug banners appear.

  • The downloaded files have the expected dimensions, orientation and clean edges.
