# Download your app

> Export your RNBlocks app source and understand connected-service dependencies before continuing development.

Use **Download .zip** in Studio to export your app source. You can continue development outside RNBlocks or hand the project to a developer.

## Before you start

- A saved app and an active Pro or Studio plan for app ZIP downloads.

## Export the current app

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/export#download

1. **Open the intended app** — Check the app and version you want to export. Select **Download .zip** in the toolbar, or **Options (⋯) → Download .zip** on a phone. When viewing an older version, the action is **Download this version**; select **Back to latest** first if you want the current app.

2. **Open the project** — Read the exported project’s instructions and package manifest. Use its dependency versions when installing and running it. If you are keeping an existing database, check which setup steps have already run before applying database changes again.

3. **Verify connected features** — Test sign-in, saved data and provider requests in the environment where the app will run.

## Account for connected services

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/export#dependencies

A ZIP of app files does not replace a database, provider account or hosted service. Record which services the app needs and who owns each account. Keep service credentials out of client code.

If the app depends on a connection managed through RNBlocks, confirm how the exported app will access that connection. Disconnecting or revoking access can stop features that rely on it.

> **Apps using Supabase and AI connectors together**
> The Studio ZIP export currently needs additional connection setup for this combination. Have a developer verify both services in the exported app. A working Studio preview does not complete that setup.

## Source export and publishing are different

Section: https://www.rnblocks.dev/docs/export#release

A source download is not a signed build or a store submission. Use publishing to prepare the app’s release settings, assets and testing path, or follow the relevant provider workflow with your developer.
